Ok, now I'm very serious, I need your honest opinion and some suggestions because now I can't move on with his one. It's the first page (at last!) of the Metropolis Project. it's horribly sketchy, I know. Architecture, perspective?- um, what's that, I mean- I'm the last person to draw architecture, not to mention to design something myself (here's my very own painful proof of what I said
[link] ) I've decided to modernise it a very little tiny bit and draw it in steampunkish manner and continue the work of Erich Hettelhut- Streamline Moderne, lots of pipes, copper and other oversized watch parts whose name I don't know. Hate me now, you can start from this very second
And now, the question that troubles me the most- in which drawing style? I'll give you some clues with examples of my own works:
No.1- Please-just-not-this-one Academic art & uber-realism
[link]No.2- Mad expressionism
[link]No.3- Let's try real-like!
[link] No.4- Animated silliness! ("Maschinemensch? I chiseled it!")
[link]No.5- Wanna-be animated modernism
[link]No.6- Almost-like illustration
[link] No....- other suggestions
Pen or pencil?
Please?
That said, I really enjoy your 'animated modernism' style!
Nice condensing of all those iconic images.
You've got so many styles it's hard to chose. I like the mad-expressionism, or the realism works. I like them all really. Do each caption in a different style!
Yay! It's an interesting suggestion - worth trying.
I inked two captions this morning so I think I shall update the image later this evening. Hope you'll like it!
Are you on Facebook?
Nope, no Facebook, Twitter, MySpace nor any other thing like that, sorry.
If later on there's a page for doing perhaps we could work together on it though. That's why I was wondering about a Facebook page. We could keep in touch easier through that and chat and what not.
It was a pure pleasure to work with you. Maybe after my exams I'll try to draw another page(s).
If there's anything more to work on just send me a note or something, it's the easiest way, at least for me, to keep in touch with people .
